Easy one, but can't remember the name
In another discussion (somewhere on another board), I'm trying to make a point about platformers, and I remember this Amiga platformer being one of the best I ever played. But I can't remember its name at all.
The main character is a blonde little kid, wielding machineguns, flamethrowers and what not, blasting away at robots and aliens. The icons were (unfortunately, something also criticised in AP's review) joysticks, disks and other computer-related paraphernalia. There were a few nice surprises in the game, such as boulders crashing down, but the good thing was: you always saw it coming, which meant that the game was fair. Graphics: excellent, music: superb, gameplay: top. Anyone? (I bet this'll be found pretty fast). (Edited some typo's.) |

Kid Gloves maybe, I would post some screenshots, but I haven't got this game anymore for some reason, excuse me, I'm off downloading now
Disclaimer:// I was crap at this game so I don't know if there was infact machine guns on offer in the game, but it does have a blonde kid in it |

Nope!
I had the impression the word "kid" featured in the title, but I'm no longer too sure of that...

Erm, I meant Kid Chaos, sorry. It comes on a few disks and is quite a slick little platformer.
You have to collect apples I think. |

And again: no
Heh. The character was a smaller (and much cooler) boy. The game was 2 disks, by the way.
Edit: and you had to collect gold coins too, if I'm not mistaken. |

Well here's Kid Gloves.
If someone of the Legacy guys happens to come by here, he can take the screenshot (it's already in the required format). LaundroMat, I've got to ask another question: Quote:

Ruff 'n' tumble had a kid with a gun shooting robots and I think there were disks and stuff to be picked up too. (And gold coins)

Another 'kid' game is Videokid, which I remember liking a lot, but haven't played it since it came out, so my memory is vague.

No problem.
I'm just surprised noone else guessed this one though. Kid with guns blazing. Not many games. Kid chaos didn't have any weapons. Neither did Kid gloves as far as I recall. And Video kid was a pure shoot em up as far as I could tell. |

Well, that's exactly why I said this was an easy one. The only thing was, I saw it all in front of me, but the name remained on the tip of my tongue.
(I'm sure I'd have remembered it by tomorrow morning.) By the way, I saw that the TOSEC database lists a Paradow and a Prestige crack, but apparently the 2nd disk of the Prestige crack isn't listed... (Hunting around for both versions now, btw). Oh, and Ian, have a go at the game. It's great. |

Disk 2 is probably identical in both versions.
