Have they done any bug-fixes? I tried re-playing this a few years ago, and the frequency that it just would randomly crash back to desktop was annoying enough that I uninstalled it. I tried to do the "save early, save often", but if you get immersed enough in the game, you totally forget about that.

That isn't really to do with bugs but probably more with modern Windows shit. The game was as stable as you could make them back in the day.

As such I have good hope for you with this make over as the tech has been upgraded to DX9.

I'm running it here on Windows 10, and it does crash a bit. The official "Game of the Year" edition runs fine though.
