  • more grip on Lotus 2&3's rain-track(s) than on any other track-type
  • puddles of water only slow you down in the Lotus-series
  • in most action-games after getting shot by 20 machine gun bullets and being almost dead "using" 2 first aid kits instantly heals you completely
  • the juggle-system of the (newer) Tekken-games: "launch" people in the air with some punch or kick so they'll float in front of you in the air with their feet towards you and you can keep them in this state for a while using further punches and kicks

Oh man... well you said platform agnostic so here we gooooo....

(I am such a dork since this is off the top of my head)

NES:

Teenage Mutant (Ninja/Hero) Turtles - Turtles can swim. They lay their eggs in water... why does water kill Donatello and crew?

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - This whole game makes zero sense start to finish and is totally unplayable. May be the worst game ever.

Atari Jaguar:

One of the decent-ish games on the system... but seriously - Attack of the Mutant Penguins, start to finish, is a giant WTF?

Check out the Angry Video Game Nerd's Jaguar review to see why, although it's fun, it just makes no damn sense.

Sega Genesis:

Sonic the Hedgehog - Where is he hiding all those rings? He has no pockets!

Multi-system:

Bonk's Adventure/BC Kid: Can you climb a wall with your teeth? 'Cause I can't. Also - how does the giant dinosaur have a rainbow colored baseball cap?

Cho-Aniki: The fact that this game is not only popular but also generally considered a great shmup is true but defies logic. Considering your average age and personality of a gamer I'm shocked anything with massive homoerotic overtones would make it one game, let alone a giant series of them.

Also - I'd hate to have a giant hole on the top of my head.

(Various games - example weapons taken from Goldeneye).
I'll add the Jedi Knight series to that. Oh, I need a keycard to get through this door do I? I have a lightsabre!

I would have thought defying logic was the whole point of video games...

Been playing Morrowind lately and all the critters seems to want some of you, even the crabs or the tiny Tremor like creatures.

Heh It's really a bit like 'why should we waste polygons on something that doesn't want to kill you?' Also the cliff racers have a little population control problem

there is a mod for morrowind that makes the wildlife population more realistic, such as crabs ignoring you (unless they are blighted)

Cliff Racers are my bitches; I invest in archery just to get them.

I know and I recommend using them, but it's not the way the game was designed What I like about the game is that you don't get any 'expierence' points, but rather improve yourself by using or training your skills Okay, also makes it really easy to gain levels very fast without fighting, only by selecting the right skills

some anchient infocom title, I think it was zork. There was a point I got totaly stuck in a location and couldnt progress no matter what. Eventually a hint book and some bbs action saw that I needed to lie on the floor and type BLAST, where a bunch of singing elves would come out and pick me up and magically carry me through a solid rock wall.
So that was logical and easy to work out wasnt it.

Chicago enforcer on the xbox, because theres a bug in one of the (sequential) levels, which makes it actually impossible to proceed, even on cheat mode. Beta testers did that one right the way through like they were paid for , not...

Hired guns - why the Naomi Assault rifle (aka M-16) melts in the water?
Cannon fodder - why the leader of enemy troopers - although camouflaged - wears flashing light on his head?
Gunship 2000 - why, after you landed on the carrier ship - you altitude meter shows the number 400m?
Agony - why Alestes metamorphoses into an owl? (the same with Ikuro in Apidya II)
