Tbh I like the idea Fabie mate. If it suits your needs then it's definitely a "thumbs up" and congratz for the implementation.
I haven't done that on mine but let me share an nice example... My A1200D PPC is open up for modding for the last 1.5 year. During that time, I had to use a keyboard since putting the internal keyboard while holding it with one hand and typing with the other (not for metal backplate to short-circuit with the mobo) was an epic FAIL. That's why I decided to put an EZkey adapter to have an Amiga Keyboard let me type while having the internal keyboard uninstalled! That was indeed a fine idea, that I honestly decided to attach an internal PS2 custom connector in order to have it everytime I needed an extra keyboard for my modding needs! Oh wait! - PC key 1200 installs in the normal keyboard ribbon socket a.k.a I can't have the normal keyboard - Doesn't reset either using Ctrl-A-A - Lyra is awesome but... oh dear, can't get installed on my setup due to Indivision AGA+BVision - EZ key is installed and it's fine but.... Doesn't reset using Ctrl-A-A... WTF? I don't have a reset button for as along as I don't have the original keyboard on! Ye ok, you can say that this, is a temporary state (alas that's why I haven't installed a switch yet) but for all I know the pins that reset the Amiga and where Fabie putted them helped me tons of times by short-circuiting them or else i'd have to power off my amiga Every time i wanted a reset. Anyway, nice mod Fabie mate |

How about an A500 keyboard with the keycaps replaced by the originals from A1200?
You get just five wires coming from the mobo to the keyboard and all working fine. |

Ctrl+leftamiga with thumb and longfinger of right hand, right underarm on rightamiga. Easy (but not if it's the right arm you lost)

The right-Amiga key will become stinky, better not.
