Amiga 2000 + Cybervision 64/3d

Hi there.

I've some issue with my setup. I have an A2000 (B) with rom 3.1, CBM 2630+4Mo, Cybervision 64/3d + Dbl Scan.

But i've some issue when trying to make all that working. First of all to make the Cybervision work i must launch Enforcer in my startup sequence. Without Enforcer the Cybervision doesn't display anything. I've simply added Run >nil: enforcer just after the setpatch command.

In this case all is working ... for some minutes but finaly crash. Have you any idea of the matter ?

Thanx.

Jim

CybergraphX or Picasso96?

I'd suggest to try both. Make sure, you don't have files from the other RTG system in your relevant system drawers, respectively. I ended up with P96 on my A4k (CV64) but don't remember what made the difference for me back then.

There is a cache related bug in the 68030 which is at least partially fixed with an MMU. I don't know if this is related. I expect some kind of install problem or conflict. ZII only allows 8MB total of memory and the CV64/3D uses 4MB so keep that in mind if your accelerator maps memory to ZII space and you have any other boards which may be using this space. ThoR's MuLibs (with 68030.library) are more configurable than Enforcer but may require some reading and manual changes. I expect the problem is more basic or a conflict though. Get rid of all those hacks and patches, especially gfx related.

Good suggestions.

I helped a friend set up a 2000 with 68030, CV64/3D and P96. It worked without problems after the install and provided better performance than I expected. I don't recall it needing Enforcer or the MuLibs but this was many years ago.
