@bippym
I must admit, it's not really worth adding a snow scene right across the width of the page, as most of it, after the snowman, will be obscured no matter the aspect ratio or resolution. The IRC, in the middle, is auto expanding, so you'll still be left with about next to nothing of snow scene. Edit: I'll just concentrate on the EAB Logo and the Snowman (TCD's snowman) Last edited by DH; 16 December 2008 at 18:02. |

Just make it so that the snow on the ground behind the snowman tapers off like a hill of snow so that on the far right of the snowman (just to left of the IRC box) the snow tapers down to 0 pixels high so that it matches up with the white bar across the top.

Too late, RCK has recieved the two new versions, we'll have to make do with these this year I think.
Still, it wont look too obvious that they just suddenly halt but then again, until I see it for myself I'll never know. You've all got to remember, I'm working with a super hi-res image, which needs to be scaled down for the page, and not everything works well, as in graphically, when resized. Thought I'd do the original in a snow scene, just to see what it would look like

Yeah! Starting to look more chilly now Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
btw. The colours are picked from the original image but as the image is so hi-res (over 3000 pixels wide) the blends and effects I am using can be tweaked much better to give that overall look |

Poor Dizzy. He's not on enough at the moment so he's missing far too many posts.
btw. Where is he these days. Has he moved to a far away galaxy or something and can only appear on EAB through the night (depending on your location) or is he now a Vampire hence he's only out at night |

Was there anything in place where the snowman is now? Or did the IRC window fill the gap?
Anyway, here is what I propose to replace the snowman after Xmas. |

Ok, but it's still part of Amiga, if I remove it I suppose I could create a new hi-res hand holding disk and put that there instead
Bah! bippy, you are so hard to please some day's. Checked your Xmas tunes yet (should take him a few hours) Edit: btw. Don't get me wrong bippy, I can handle criticism like I can handle beer Last edited by DH; 17 December 2008 at 15:13. |
