Arkanoid II Revenge of Doh - WHDLOAD - Too fast!

I think this was discussed before, but I recently acquired a couple of 4000's and was trying out WHDLoad (unregistered). Most games run really well, but Arkanoid II was super, super fast. The music plays like it's on fast forward and the prizes come down so fast you can hardly see them!

This was from the newest killergorilla packs.

EDIT: This is on an A4000 with GVP T-Rex 68040/40MHz and 16M RAM. Kickstart 3.0.

There is also a thread about Arkanoid I WHDLoad, with the same problems.

It works fine on WinUAE, but on my real Amiga it's way too fast. This seems to be the opposite of the Arkanoid I issue.

Upps, of course you're right right.

Have you tried the NOCACHE(S) tooltype? Standard question.

NOCACHES tooltype fixed it right up. Thanks very much.

Do a lot of games need this on 68040?

It's always worth a try, the A4000/040 is a fast machine. Some other games aren't fixable with it. A 030 CPU has a higher WHDLoad compatibility.

Some games actually slow down on an '040 too (like Apidya or Zool 2) but I don't think there's an awfu lot you can do about that. But generally if a game runs too quickly Nocache will sort it out.
