pressing * doesn't quit WHD Load

Hello,

I'm still new to WHDLoad and getting along fine for the most part.

One issue is that the useful sounding * to quit on the numeric pad doesn't seem to do anything. Is there something I need to enable?

Thanks! James

Basically the quit key can vary from game to game. The most common keys are * (numeric key pad) and F10, if I'm not mistaken. The popup window that comes up after the register window will show you which key is the quit key, but it's usually one of the two above keys.

You might also try turning on the numlock, maybe that was turned off in which case prtscrn (or *) doesn't work.

You can set a global quit key in the whdload config file in s: which overrides the slave specific quitkeys.

Also the quit key quite often will not work with 68000 CPU's.

The default quit key set by GBA is F11, if I recall correctly (because it doesn't interfere with any keys an Amiga game could actually use). It can be configured in the WHDRun popup for each game, and also in the global WHDLoad configuration (you can find all WHDLoad program files in a directory called WHD, I think, inside the GBA dir), as on a real Amiga.

What is your Amiga configuration and which games behave like this?

Num Lock key has no influence on the effect of pressing the numeric keypad /, *, -, + or Enter keys.
