I too was doing great only to mistakenly buy the blade you start off the game with. Brilliant... And I already had a pretty neat arsenal by then. Oh well.

Is the highscore table meant to appear after the title sequence? Because it doesn't for me, meaning I can't take a screenshot of the table...

High score table appears in the title sequence after you play at least once (you may quit the game by ESC and it will be equal to have a play). If you just load the game and want to see the scores, you may wait forever and nothing will be shown

Still warming up a bit. It's a lengthy game. Need to make time for it.

Not to mention the troubles with the adf versions.

I do enjoy this game, it's good fun despite its many blatant flaws...

Frame skip 2 on the xbox makes it more playable but this randomly turns off collision detection

Also can you not crouch and fire in the Miggy version? or this this an emulation bug too. The Genesis version has dogs on level 1.3 that can't be killed without crouching.

Nope, you can't crouch and fire. Which is silly.

I guess the problem is that it takes quite a lot of time to play, whereas something like Super Hang-On only takes a few minutes so basically I always loaded that up for a quick go when I had a couple of minutes spare. With Leander you need to set aside quite a bit of time to play it properly.

Yeah its the complete package i think. especially also the animation on the main sprite. the movement is so damn fluid !!. Definately as smooth as the owl in Agony.

Its funny, i never really wanted to know how games were made years ago, and i dont really wish to know now, mainly due to the fact it takes away from the mystery of games. Its a bit like Blade Runner, which is a movie with amazing atmosphere that draws you into its world. If i knew entirely how it was done or made it would take away that mystery.

When i would see WIP screenshots in mags, i would be like "No No No" i don't want to see all the animation frames... just show me how it looks when it is going to be played, that way it feels it just always WAS.

Maybe i am just crazy.

BTW - I am aware this thread is for high scores so sorry for going off topic guys.

Here's a whole night's worth... uff. Honestly I know the first world like the back of my hand The second one is just too much

If you play your cards right you can get 300000+ just on the first world. The key is spending as little as possible (no bombs, no armour -- I just buy the force blade). You get a massive 10,000 for every 1000 coins you have at the end of each level.

As ppil said, World 2 is just too much.
