Portable + fast start of games (1-click)
Hi,
looks like it's possible to put WinUAE on a usb stick and use it portable on other machines... But it's laborious to start games: load config, put disks into virtual drives, start... Isn't it possible to start different games with just one click with a desktop icon? Or at least something like this (shortcut link with target): winuae.exe -portale -config=a500 -df0:games/turrican1.adf -df1:games/turrican2.adf Thanks, 1988 |

Yes, just set up a config how you want it put the required adf's in the drives then save the config and place the config file on your desktop.
Make sure 'show GUI on startup' is unchecked in the misc panel. |

battle squadron (1disk) http://www..com/?i80w0hf0fuqnl1l xenon 2 (various disk) http://www..com/?l1e7v401eeocca6 for change disk, press end + 1 (for disk1) end + 2 (for disk2)...etc... automatic detect joy/pad/mouse/ and keyboard. if anyone can help to make more games like this. I have no knowledge. If you uncompress the exe with winrar, will see the entire assembly. I hope they can make more games!. excuse my English. |

If you use WinUAELoader, it works for WHDLoad games as well.
You can use its GUI to launch games through winuae, or make windows shortcuts to particular games. See the 'Tools' tab for the game launcher Shortcut syntax: "winuaeloader.exe -mode whdload/gamebase/sps -rom filename". If you use WHDLoad games there is no need for disk swapping.
