Tip of my tongue what was this game?

Hi,

I've been trying to find an Amiga game for a while now, and I cant remember for the life of me what it was called.

It may have been a PD game.

Basically it was a thrust rocket/space type game. There were a number of ships. I also remember it having a two player options. You had ships that you could have.. one was amusingly named Fart, and I think there was spurt, until you got to some really cool ones that actually sounded like good rockets rather than farty noises!

It was a really awesome game, so if anyone knows what its called and if its abandonware if there is anywhere to download it again, that'd be awesome

Thanks very much s2325. I thought it might have been Gravity Force 2 out of that list but its not. But its a similar game to that. But you had different types of spaceships you could buy.

Wow your channel is awesome!! I didn't find the game I want, but its brought back memories of some other games such as Space Taxi that I will also download!

I'm really racking my brains now on this one. All I can remember it was a thrust type game, you could play two players and do certain missions. As you built up you could upgrade your spaceship and buy new spaceships. The first crappy one was called Fart, then I think you had squirt or spurt up to really cool ones that were much faster and better handling. It may or may not have been PD. I know if i saw a screenshot of it again I'll know the game straight away.

I found it!!!! It's called R3 The Art of Rocketry!! [ Show youtube player ]

Full version, downloadable here: http://aminet.net/package/game/2play/R3

Woo hooo!! Thanks for your help on this one. It seems to be one of the lesser known Thrust clones for the Amiga, but I remember it being a good one!

As kid I bought pirate copy for half EUR and was really disappointed because of small playfield and outdated graphics. Later it was hard to find as I remembered title R6 instead of R3

I remember having a good laugh with this game. Anyway as its available on Aminet as an LHA. I decided to make it into a bootable adf.

I really hope I don't offend anyone with this, as due to the size limit of an 880k floppy, the bootable adf does not include the bonus levels or the level editor.

The game needed ENV: Assigning and a couple of libs, so only worked if you had a workbench hard drive image with lha to unpack and to copy it over. So for those who just want to play without having to re-remember everything, then the adf is here:

http://addictingflasharcadegames.com/ArtOfRocketry.adf

(I made this with an A1200 Kickstart 3.. so may not work on earler versions)

R3 was in the list of Thrust clones that s2325 linked to. Quite a good game for shareware/PD. Anyway, glad you found it and that it was available on Aminet!

EDIT: R3 even has a Wiki entry, which says that a PC sequel was made. Didn't know that!
