mouse sensitivity problem on analogue joystick

hello everyone

i have my mouse mapped to the right analogue thumb-stick on my joypad, when playing mouse games its hard to just move it dead on the bit you want to go because if you just touch it ever so slightly one way it zooms really fast, much faster than if you move it with all your strength to the full extremity of the stick, surely this should be the other way round, but i've tried messing with the deadzone and i can't get it to resolve the problem

thanks everyone
