D3D: texture creation failed
Hi Toni,
I was not sure if I should report this as I am using a EeePC 1000H here with integrated Intel 954 Express graphics. But running dxdiag gets a nice spinning cube on the screen for all three versions (7,8,9) available. Did I miss something, or is there something wrong with WinUAE (btw: this is no new effect in 1.6.1, happens with 1.6.0, too)? ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/8/2009, 12:22:09 Machine name: HITORO Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234) Language: German (Regional Setting: German) System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer INC. My crystall ball is still broken
Logs please. (both logs). Most likely hardware limitation, d3d as a filter requires much more than some basic cube |

Sorry, I was assuming to get a "no bug, insufficient hardware" straight away. Logs attached.

Toni I have a spare crystal ball here somewhere.. Has slight usage and a minor crack, but otherwise predicts problems and the future accurately
It's yours for a reasonable fee |

Attempt #2 (yes, this may not be worth the trouble but..)
winuaebootlog.txt not needed, attach winuaelog.txt (even if it works for some reason..) btw, performance will be quite bad (if it works) because it falls back to static textures, driver says dynamic textures are supported but perhaps they aren't supported in selected bit depth or something.. |

Stupid card or driver
Try 32-bit display mode (16/32-bit setting in filter panel), perhaps it does not have full 16-bit support. |

Yes, 32-bit works. Strange thing! Thanks, Toni. Maybe the driver could suggest / automatically try the other bit-depth when encoutering this error...
