Gabriel Knight 2 longplay

I just made a longplay of the *awesome* game, Gabriel Knight 2 - the Beast Within.

It's quite long and due to the 10 minute limit on Youtube, I had to split it up into a ton of parts.

Anyway, here are the links for the vids -

You will notice the audio goes out of sync in various places in this game... it has nothing to do with the videos themselves, the game did that. I have no idea why.

I tried correcting it here and there but since it goes out of sync and then back in sync in the same videos, it's hard (and very boring) to fix.

I have fixed it in several places though.. would've been worse otherwise.

But it's just something you'll have to live with, I hope it doesn't ruin things too much

Oh... I didn't know.

But I have so many vids on my Youtube account now, I think I'll continue putting my vids on there.. I created playlists for each chapter and that way, you can play all the vids in each chapter automatically
Better than nothing at least.

I actually recorded the entire game twice.. first time I recorded in Windows using a capture program.. it seemed fine to me but when I tried the dos version later on, I noticed the framerate in the one I'd already recorded was too low

So I recorded it all over again in Dosbox.. but there was trouble with that as well as for some reason, when I played the game in Dosbox, there was a lot of tearing. I remembered there was some in this game but not such a huge amount.. then eventually I found a custom build of Dosbox in which I got far less tearing (Gulikoza's build).

This is probably the longplay I've had the most work with ever.. even though the game is very easy to record.

It's not JohnnyISgood, it's JohnnyBeGood, so you're out of context ;-)

Seriously, I challenge anyone to complete that (annoying) game... I've never been able to get pass the dead alien.

That too, or maybe he is not Johnny himself, might be someone else that has been bad to him.... so his name might just be a wish or a request for that guy to be good.... meh, can mean lots of things..

Tried it, it's VERY incomplete as are the other common solution on the web.

[the rest of you]
Again, if I'm that bad, prove me wrong. Complete the game, I challenge you.
