Question How to change AmiCDFS icon?

My 3.1 DefIcons cannot change the default cdrom disk of AmiCDFS! Does this is possible, to change the default icon of cdrom drives for that AmigaDOS driver???

I am asking, because I read somewhere that is possible to edit one driver (that I not remember its name...) with a hex editor, put the name of a icon you choose, and this way show that icon when a cdrom is inserted...

Anyone can say me how?

Hey, you... Thanks in advance!

try this mate

IconInstaller is a tool to aid in icon management. The basic operation of
IconInstaller is to copy the imagery from one icon to another. Both standard
icons and NewIcons are supported, including conversion from standard to
NewIcons, and vice versa. IconInstaller can also be used to copy other
attributes (such as tooltypes, position, default tool etc.) in addition to,
or instead of, the imagery.

I already have it but it dont work too.

The program says "disk write protected"... I tought that was possible for AmiCDFS to intercept the calls for the icon change, but it dont does this.

Bad luck... You have any other idea, or somebody more can give another tip?

But this is what I have done before!

I tried various combinations of names:

ENVARC:CDDA.info
ENVARC:SYS/def_CD0.info
ENVARC:SYS/def_cddaDISK.info

With a legitimate NewIcons, but only what is shown is the standard, boring, normal icon.

Humph, It dont want to work, for some reason...

Thanks, anyway... What I could be doing wrong? Anyone can guess???

Aaaah! I found my error!

I had marked the disk flag on my icons. They need to be project or tool (except the hdx icon, which must be disk).

These differences and others between it and OS 3.9 annoys me...

Thanks jonhim for you help, dont worry, your tips helped very much.
