it's not released, and I doubt it will...

Elbox says that will release these PCIs when AmigaOS4 is ready for shipping... Please do not upload an extra NETBSD version for those PCIs :-)

I think that these accelerators will support AmigaOS4 and will run older amiga applications via emulation. All they need is a native PPC OS. And a good question is why they are waiting for AmigaOS4 ?

MorphOS is not a PPC OS ? MorphOS recently gave a freeware "gift" version for Amigas with Blizzard PPC, at their site.

The speed (as Elbox writes) will be better a lot of times than the fastest 060 (under emulation). The card takes Dimms, so the memory won't be a problem. PPCs need more memory than 68k processors.

Mac users have many third party companies like Elbox, for instance: Sonnet/PowerLogics etc.

Check these urls:
http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Pa...des&Template=1

or

http://www.sonnettech.com/product/crescendo_pci.html

The prices are similar to Elbox prices, according the MHz and the Cache of the G3/G4 CPUs.

Sonnet still produces accelerators for 68k macs - old world PPC macs and new G3/G4 macs. Sonnet & PowerLogics has PCI G3/G4 accelerators, that could run awesome in PCI busboard-amigas... but of course Amiga developers have not knowledge on this fact, or they have taken money from other companies to destroy the "Amiga" on the planet ??? (amiga has bad history on this)

I wouldn't trust much Elbox. The dragon and shark are plain vaporware.

I understand. Probably they have sales on other platforms... and as AmigaOS4 release has delays... they are staying behind that "fact".

Actually this excuse is not good as Morphos is under developing many years ago, as I know...

Could be possible to send an email (from english amiga board and maybe others) to Powerlogics or Sonnet (that they have already implemented Mac PCI acceleretors) to product PCI G3/G4 accelerators for Amiga ? Powerlogics have many different types of PCIs for all Wallets.

Please vote for this "idea" and make suggestions.
