Smile Unarchiving LHA & LZX files on Windows XP

Can anyone recommend Windows apps which will unarchive LHA & LZX files please on Windows XP professional?

WinZIP should be able to open at least the .lha files via the external program, lha.exe. The same one might work for .lzx as well.

winrar support LHA natively
and Aminet has a PC command-line version of unlzx

Don't use the lzx plugin!!! Most files won't be unpacked properly.

Thanks for that. Filzip is great. Just need to sort out the lzx files now!

Erm, the LZX plugin works fine here, tried it with various files...

Belive me. I have tried a lot of lzx files with the plugin and then, compared the files extracted with the original files using a file comparing utility and there are lots of errors. Don't use it

unlzx..drag file over to it. Should un"zip" to your Duckuments and Settings dirctory.

WinRAR doesnt do lzx... it does LHZ and LHA (effectively the same thing) but not LZX (yet)

We do not have it in our current "to do" list, but maybe we'll
consider it in the future. I do not know yet.

I <3 WinRAR. As for LZX files: I simply unpack them in Workbench through WinUAE Works fine.
