Is there any reason why FTP client would just disconnect you with "(530) Sorry, your maximum number of connections from this IP (2) has been reached."
When it fact, its not.. I am only using 1 connection at all times, yet i occasionally see the above Why would this be..... ? |

Or you are on a school network or something which shares the external IP and there is already someone else there connected to the FTP with 2 connections... If the above is true, you can fix it by setting up an upload account and logging in with that instead of the "ftp" user. Then you get your own 2 connections. See first post if that is the case. |

Adding the TOSEC ISO collection to the FTP.
Is there space enough on the file server to add the TOSEC ISO Collection (atm 320 gigs and growing)? Some ISO's won't be uploaded as they're still being sold commercially/restricted by EAB fileserver policies. |

There is space, but those can be downloaded from TOSEC directly, no? I see no real reason to have it on the FTP, or is it just me?
Or perhaps that will allow a cleanup of the old TOSEC stuff. I think its a mess at the moment, heh. In the end, I only provide the FTP. Its not up to me what is on it =) Last edited by Turran; 18 November 2014 at 14:49. |

I wanted to hear if there's enough space first
TOSEC ISO can only be obtained via torrent I think (or does archive.org have them?) In that case I'd say having them on the file server would be a good idea |

TOSEC has no official server open to the public, so yes that would be interesting. By cons, there is a big cleaning to do on the server

Is there any chance to have an updated version of the Amiga TOSEC on the EAB FTP?
I know the fixes are on there, but I'd need to download the entire TOSEC to apply the fixes locally on my PC, right? |

My guess is that some of the torrent guys will add them to the torrent sites, when that happens, load on the FTP server won't be as grand.

On a sidenote: Mirror also has more than enough of free disk space for TOSEC :-)

I've moved them over to the main area. I've merged them with the other folders, but I could put them into separate folders if that is preferred.
