Search function
When I used to connect with filezilla (now fails to login to files.amiga.me, USR: amiga PWD:eab) I could use it to search for files (such as the DSM or ADF of Applied Engineering AEHD Floppy driver disk). The web based server logs me in but I don't know how to search.
Any answers? |

Magix sadly updated the interface without informing about it, so I'm a bit out of answers here. There's also an issue with files displaying as '0 B' which are working fine. I'll let Magix know tomorrow and hope that those issues can be fixed soon.

Can i just clarify, is the FTP down for good or it it coming back? I miss the Directory Comparison functionality in FileZilla to look for new files.
Thanks. Last edited by manic23; 21 June 2013 at 17:31. |

I have no idea why it was changed to be honest. This whole change comes as a surprise to me too. I'll ask Magix what his plans are during the next days.

Yes, please find out about the search function as the organization of the files is not intuitive to my way of thinking.

Seems like there is a bigger problem... For now I can't say much, but it would be great if everybody that has a user folder would double check that he still has the files locally too and if not re-download them. We'll keep you updated.

The EAB File Server is fast and reliable as it seems so far and many thanks to everyone that made it possible .... but I confess that I still miss and love Magix's FTP and I hope that, whatever the problem may be, to resolve it and have it back and running!

I think it's just a matter of being patient guys, there is obviously a problem that we don't yet know about, lets just wait for an announcement from Magix and prey...

Hello friends,
Unfortunately, there is a bad news: EAB File Server will close tonight (request of my hosting company). We have a full backup (thanks to a gentle friend here) and I hope that soon we will open it again. I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far. Cheers, Magix |

Atm I'm uploading my entire WHD set to and will update my thread when done (just in case).
Original & extended adfs + PowerCopy images kindly provided & uploaded to the zone by Denis will be uploaded too. It would be catastrophic if they were to be lost. Again Magix, thanks for everything, it was a good ride while it lasted. |

Thank you for all what you've done for us Magix and we'll try to get the file server back All fingers crossed that it won't take too long.

Yes indeed, thanks Magix for what you have done You have been appreciated by many people on EAB, and I don't really think anyone should have any negative comments to make, considering you made this freely available to everyone at your own expense
I'm sure the file server will be back, sometime soon, and I'll be looking forward to its return. Once again, thanks Magix for your support, we should all be grateful for what you have done |

Bad news indeed...
I hope that, somehow, in the near future you will be able to host your amazing archive somewhere else and give us the chance to share it with you! I would like to thank you for everything you have done so far for the Amiga community and for EAB! Keep up the good work Magix! |
