There are WHDLoad patches for Bard's Tale II & III from Traxx. They are no official, but i don't know why.

Maybe this is the reason why they are not available on the WHDLoad page.

April pack is pretty much done, just need to zip up some of the remaining files, check I haven't missed any off the list (that I can find), and virus check them.

It won't be this side of May because I'm busy tonight, but hopefully it should get done before the weekend.

Bored Seal has finished the Qix install and just lacks the motivation to release it. Perhaps if people ask him politely it will get done

Excuse the lame question, maybe I just ignore something...

Why on earth would anyone need a WHDLoad slave for Bard's Tale 2 or 3?! They can both be installed on hard disk without big efforts...

Because you have a system friendly quitkey and it works on the nearly all Amiga models/configurations. Don't really understand your question, it's obvious.

I've played a lot with BT3 on the following platforms:
Amiga: 500, 2000 and a 3000
KS: 2.0, 3.0, 3.1
WB 2.x, 3.1, 3.9
CPU: 68000, 020, 030, 040, 060
Graphics: OCS, ECS, CV4, PII, PIV

It always worked flawlessly and you can at anytime switch back to the WB or cleanly quit the game. I guess BT2 behaves the same way, ain't 100% sure though.
That's why I was asking what's the use of a WHD slave for _these_ games. For many others, for the reasons you wrote, WHD is of course great.

stability. I have not had the luck you have with BTII. Nothing compares to the WHD installs if you ask me. Even when there IS an adequate original installer, i will use the WHD, as i am always finding problems with screenmodes / quits etc with the originals.

there's no benefit to NOT using the WHD.
