The dragon`s Eyrie

Hi all.

Browsing around the net I found a really nice page, about the the creator of Darkmere and DragonStone (and several others), Mark Jones... The page got a lot of good pictures and information....

I wish all developers would make web pages like this, not forgetting their roots....

check it out..

Love the design of the pages.

Steve B will like this site because it has that 'dungeon master' and 'Eye of the Beholder' feel about it.

Great source of information

Just visited Mark Jones' site and I can honestly say I am pleasantly surprised. It is always good to get some in-depth information about the creation of games. Never knew Mark was responsible for so many Amiga classics. Oh, the links on his site are awesome too. The only minor point is the grammar on the site leaves a bit to be desired.

Guess What? I already knew about it. Your right though it is indeed a very good site and it's from that site that I got Mark's e-mail address. Since then I've sent him loads of e-mails about Darkmere and he's replied to all of them. He's a great chap. I wish he'd update his In Progress page a bit more though.

wow, that Mark guy seems to be a cool guy..

Anyone of you played Dragonstone much ? I have only played the demo of this game (from a coverdisks when it got released), and it was kinda good...

But it didnt get good reviews, from 50% - 70 % I think... But alot of games from that period are good, but didnt get the scores they deserved. What about this game, is it wrth playing ?

anyone ?

One of the things that really impressed me about this site is the dimensional depth created by his design. It almost looks 3D! Beautifully designed. One of the best I've seen.

I haven't played Dragonstone as much as I have Darkmere. What little I have played of it didn't bode well. They tried to make it more like Zelda than Darkmere and failed miserably. Even Mark himself doesn't think it's very good. My advice is stick with Darkmere. It's excellent.
