Do you have any examples? Otherwise yes, the most annoying bug in ABR is the forgetting of the last examined folder... |

I think the file requesters also need updating, needs to be uniform across all the menus as the 'Browse For Folder' requester has no ability to paste in a directory name forcing you to navigate to a folder, plus it doesn't pickup shortcuts that point to a folder!

Hello
Im going to do what Toni does here and post a test version of my program - Redesigned interface again (If you like the old one i try to revert it back) - Main and search brainfiles are now in XML format - Added extra information to each bootblock (Is the bootblock bootable?, Does it require disk data to work?, What kickstart does it require?) [Not all set correctly right now] - Category list now customisable (also in XML) - Added extra step to batch scanner to allow pasting of paths into scanner. Program now retains last drawer scanned and where last file was loaded. - Requires .NET 4.5 right now only due to native ZIP loading, i wanted to switch from SharpZipLib due to possible issues with license etc (Which requires 3.0+ AFAIK) - Not everything works yet so tell me if you want something taken away or added. Before i release a proper version, ill add more bootblocks to it - not many added up to now. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ocI...ew?usp=sharing |

In the Next test version, General Settings -> Default ADF Drawer I set it to this; E:\ROMVault\ToSort, the only problem here is that the path points to the main folder where I have more folders that contains unsorted and unzipped .ADFs.
When I want to use the "Directory Scanner" from the "Menu" I have to manually browse in the Requester that pops up to my .ADFs folder. So the question here is; Why can't I use my main, empty ToSort folder here that have more folders that contains unzipped .ADFs? It seems that "Directory Scanner" needs .ADFs or zipped .ADFs in the first folder it reads and doesn't care about underlying folder(s) even if they contains .ADFs or zipped .ADFs. Would be nice to scan the whole TOSEC for Known/Unknown Bootblocks in one go when you first set Default ADF Drawer in General Settings, Save and then run "Directory Scanner" from the Menu even if it will take some time to scan the whole collection. |

ma693541 - So if im understanding you correctly, you want it to recursively scan subdirectories too?

New test version
- Added scanning of sub directories to batch scanner (doesn't look the way i want yet - but i'm working on it)
- Found that .NET 4.5 zip class cant handle zips in subdirectories for some reason , so reverted back to SharpZipLib 0.86 as it has no problem - Working on old brainfile import for people who have been using <3.0 and added/altered brainfile. (Not working properly yet) Reduced the .NET requirements of ABR down to 4.0 again, not sure if it stopped people running it needing 4.5 - let me know https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n6W...ew?usp=sharing |

Scanning of sub directories works great now, but you have to wait awhile before it have got all bootblocks. The wait is worth it.

Hi Jason,
I found two anomalies in your databases: - There's an inconsistency > In the "catlist.xml", "Boot Menu" = "bm" > In the "brainfile.xml", you use "m" for boot menu - The format of your database is not very standard... How did you generate it? Code:
<Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis Degradation</Name> <Recog>754,0,863,83,906,30,399,250,234,0,117,128,142,0</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> <Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis HDR Raymarching</Name> <Recog>555,140,803,255,597,1,327,192,72,0,104,255,6,175</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> <Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis RGBSnakeSkull</Name> <Recog>626,102,801,0,775,200,389,40,211,22,173,248,4,50</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> </Bootblock> </Bootblock> </Bootblock> Code:
<Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis Degradation</Name> <Recog>754,0,863,83,906,30,399,250,234,0,117,128,142,0</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> </Bootblock> <Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis HDR Raymarching</Name> <Recog>555,140,803,255,597,1,327,192,72,0,104,255,6,175</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> </Bootblock> <Bootblock> <Name>Zymosis RGBSnakeSkull</Name> <Recog>626,102,801,0,775,200,389,40,211,22,173,248,4,50</Recog> <Class>i</Class> <KS>1.3</KS> <Bootable>Y</Bootable> <Data>N</Data> </Bootblock> |

Ahh thanks crashdisk, i thought I fixed that anomaly. I'll have a look when I finish work
I've been having issues getting the XML indentation to work correctly. Ill give it another go later. Leader - so do you mean .RAW files etc? Files that come from a Kyroflux and the like? |

New test version
- Fixed boot menu category in brainfile (m -> bm) - Fixed XML writing issues, now looks normal - When saving known bootblocks in collection will now sort them into class drawers if wanted - Various other little things https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IUn...ew?usp=sharing |
