Which are your fav low budget games ?
I love low budget games. They habe often more fun than a full pricer.
Here are my top ones. All DIZZY games of course. But my fav is of course FANTASY WORLD DIZZY. http://hol.abime.net/?id=502 FANTASTIC DIZZY is aso brilliant. But the changed inventory system was totaly frustrating. http://hol.abime.net/?id=496 QUICK AND SILVA by AMIGA FUN. Yeeeah! I love nearly every single AMIGA FUN game man!!!! I`d bought em all back in the day. But QUICK & SILVA was outstanding. One of the colorfull platformes i have ever seen. And one of the best musics ad sounds by Chris Huelsbeck. PURE FUN !!! http://hol.abime.net/?id=3199 METAL LAW. Another stunnin game by "THE NEW BITS ON THE RAM". The same team that brought us QUICK & SILVA. Great jump`n`schoot. Did someone realise that the logo of "THE NEW BITS ON THE RAM" looks very similar to the "BITMAP BROTHERS" label? MMMHHHHHH ??? http://hol.abime.net/?id=2454 APACHE FLIGHT was a bad codet SWIV clone. But i love it anyway. But i never reached the end of the first level without cheating. http://hol.abime.net/?id=3279 So far so good. |

But why is it MIA @ HOL??? http://hol.abime.net/?id=45 FUTURE SHOCK. Wooow ! Great CYBERNOID clone with one of the best AMIGA musics i have ever heard. SOEDESOFT kixx ass !!!. http://hol.abime.net/?id=641 GAINFORCE. Great DEFENDER clone with brilliant sonix. http://hol.abime.net/?id=2684 VYRUS. YEAH! This one brings back so great memories for me. I bought this issue of AF on an ice cold heavy snowing winter day in early 1991. This game was totaly thrilling. Also excellent musics from Michael Tschoegl. |

apologies in hijacking this thread...but...
@plasmatron : do you still have your Amiga Fun's ? I ask as I'm trying to work out what games came with which issue's etc and (unless it's well hiddden) there isn't exactly a lot of information out there on the internet regarding these mags. So far I've only managed to get confirmed info for 2 of the UK mag issues and 6 of the German mags, with unconfirmed info for 2 more German issues. The information I'm after is the issue number, the date & the disk content. Cover & disk scans of course are ideal, but whatever anyone has would be great Last edited by [idoru]; 01 June 2004 at 23:31. |

I second Qwak. Probably the best budget game ever.
I enjoyed Captain Dynamo a lot too, though it was a little too short. |

Was SEUCK a budget release? I seem to remember it being one at the time I bought it.
If yes, then I say SEUCK. |

I think the SEUCK package was released by Palace as a mid price product. |

I think it was GBH that reissued SEUCK.
One that I really liked was Super Grand Prix by Codemasters - it was based on the C64 grand Prix Simulator game, but had lots more different vehicles and circuits. A really enat Super Sprint style game. Qwak was superb as well. |

I like Universal Warrior too.
Also a fan of some of the Dizzy games, but my all-time favourite budget games has to be Arcade Pool from Team 17. It was only a tenner at the time but has provided me with years of entertainment so can't argue with value for money there |

Turrican II was re-released as a budget title - does that count?
If not, I would have to go with Qwak. |

Sidewinder by Mastertronic was a great shooter and the explosion effects sounded particuarly good through the hifi at the time
