Tinylauncher always claims i dont have a db, however the games and demos are there in the list? Tried 3.54 and 3.55...

@zoopster - and whichever description you check (ZIP / LHA / LZH file), it says it's version 2.1

Yes - it's a bit of mess TBH.

I think I'm using the latest version but can't get favourites to work. Is that a known issue?

Okay - favourites is working but the key map is AZERTY rather than QWERTY. Any idea how to change that?

Obviously Gibs is using a French keyboard. Ask him via mail if he willing to implement other layouts.

Are there instructions somewhere which key does what in latest Tinylauncher? I am looking for a key to turn menu sound fx on/off.

Here is a list of keyboard shortcuts I compiled, but I don't recall one for menu sfx:

ESC - Exit
F10 - Exit with return code 5
R - Enable/disable RAD
T - Enable/Disable Tool Types
I - Enter Infodesk
F - Change Font - Topaz or Speccy-Gibs
H - Show Help menu
C - Enable/Disable display of game Covers / screenshots / images
B - Boot HD / CD
0-4 - Set Jump To:
0 = Disable/Enable Jump To
1 = Games
2 = Demos
3 = Mods
4 = Favourites

(When in a Jump To screen, use 0 to enable/disable Jump To. If disabled, you can use ESC to go back to the main screen.)

Hi all, I would to ask you about Tooltype, and I ask here because I searched everywhere and cannot find an answer to my question...The only thing I understood is to install a ClassicWB lite to my A600 with Furia expansion, but the problem is...Even If I add a Tooltype to an icon of a game ( for example SWOS) when I start It does not works, Infact on the up side of the screen I read "Tooltype: " and nothing else, I expect to read for example "Tooltype: CACHE" but nothing, and infact the game does not run as expected...What do I have to investigate to fix this? Thank you

UPDATE: Finally found the problem...every single WHDLOAD game of my collection is nested in a sub-dir, so If I create the folder "S" with a drawer inside for SWOS, and then insiede theres another drawer with the .info file, it does not work...I have to move every game from is parent dir...Thank you very much for your patience :-)

Hi,

I had tinylauncher3 (and 2) working on an amiga 600, with 68000.
I had amigaOS 3.1.4 installed.

Everything was working well.

I installed BestWB and made some other changes.

Going into the games directory and clicking on the icons WHDLoad still seems to work.
But it s not working from tinylauncnher 3 (or 2), I get a message about the slave file not working.

Is this something to do with tooltypes ? I can seem to turn that feature on ? it mentions I need a 68020 ?

Rad mode does not work either, I get a lot of errors on start up CD0: not found etc.

Do I need to uninstall something ie NewIcons ? Or move the Icon library back ?
It would be good to know where Tinylauncher saves its settings maybe flushing them would help ?

Just moved the CF/SD to my PC.

Tried in WinUAE with a 68000 first. Same result.

Then a 68020 with tool types on it crashed back to KS.|

I tried with a number of processors and MMUs and yes it always crashes now.

I have "backed up" workbench by copying the whole directory. I guess I go back to that.

sorted it nothing to do with BestWB or Tooltypes.

I just needed to delete S:/TinyLauncher (ie the Settings) then rescan as I'd moved the Games dir (although I moved it back again).

Is there a way to remap keyboard shortcuts to CD32 PAD?
Can't return to main menu when i'm in a submenu
No way to disable/enable cover (only Keyboard C)

Can someone patch it ?

There might be a way of mapping the game pad keys to a keyboard key - have a look at some of the input tools on Aminet?

I have not tried any of these, but there maybe something there that you can try and use.

I thought about that too but I was afraid that the program would interfere with the games afterwards. Maybe by sending the command to stop joy2key Ctrl-C in WHDLoad-Startup and relaunching joy2key in WHDLoad-Cleanup it can work. I will try that

Ok i've mapped only Esc to Reverse and C to Forward with joy2key2
I don't stop joy2key2 before WHDLoad as it doesn't interfere and it's less complicated.
Reverse+Forward+Play to quit game works with joy2key2 launched
Perhaps some WHDLoad CD32 games wich use Reverse or Forward can be disturbed but i prefer to play them on CD so it would be OK

Anyway, how the Favorites function works ?
I don't know how to add game in that section

I had read your excellent tutorial and it helped me a lot. I no longer remembered the part on the favorites. I see now that I have to add a few keys to remap
A to add Favorites
D to delete Favorites
I think i will remap this on reverse and forward from joystick port 0
F5 is not needed anymore to refresh the gamelist, so it should work like this
