Hacking/Transferring Bard's Tale Characters
I just finished playing Bard's Tale on my Macintosh (I wanted to try it because that version is a bit different than all the others). Now I want to take my characters and transfer them to Bard's Tale II on the Amiga. Since they don't exist on the Amiga at the moment there are two ways I can do this:
1. Create some BT 1 characters, hack them with the same stats as my Mac characters, and then transfer them. 2. Create some BT 2 characters and hack them with the same stats as my Mac characters. I'm not sure which is the best way to go. I downloaded the Amiga Bards Tale hacking tool, but I'm having some issues. I created the characters in BT1 (WHDLoad version), but I can't find the character files for the program to hack. Normally they're stored on the character disk, but since this is a WHDLoad hack there is no character disk. Where are they stored and is it possible to transfer them to BT II? Also, is there a way to install BT II onto the HD? I have the disk version and it works (oddly my disk version of BT 1 wouldn't work on my 1200), but I don't see a HD install option. |

The BTCE program seems to think that I need AmigaOS 3.5. Hmm....
