Aladdin's Magic Lamp

Has anyone played Aladdin's Magic Lamp?

I have always wondered why I always get the same powerup from all enemies i kill. Is it even possible to get any of the weapons showing on the top of the screen? Maybe a crack issue?

It is an interesting game though, even if I barely ever got any of the power ups that show up on top of the screen , for example I never got an "E" which I suposse means extra energy, which makes this games' one life limit rather frustrating. I used the diagonal spread shot for most of the game, but just before the end I had to get the forward/backward shot....which would have been kind of usefull before, but I digress.

I had this game as a kid, but I think it was preview version (no extra weapons). On TV CRT it looks like 256 color graphics.

Ages since I played this one, so I don't really remember... but did you try shooting on the powerups? Or perhaps you have to collect them, and then click space to activate when the powerup meter has reached the weapon you want? I think it's one of those two

Dammit, now I must download it to find out.

Here is the secret. Each destroyed wave represents the next higher powerup. Colliding with one resets the counter. The trick is to fly past the powerup you don't want. Keep destroying enemy waves until the powerup you do want scrolls into view and fly into it. The E icon is worth an extra lamp.

Oh, Thank You man, I am just trying this game and like the others I didn't know how to change the weapon. It's A strange way to change the weapon, really.
