sorry, i've sent pm before reading the thread two questions:
1) how many characters is the width of the screen?
2) i've noticed that the text lenght is referred in the hex number in the line before , for instance:

Tx0002E dc.b $F2,$03
dc.b Tx0003E-Tx0003-1 ; dc.b $12
Tx0003 eascii $10,"Peter Parker alias" ---> hex 12 = dec 18 letters
dc.b 0
Tx0003E dc.b $F3,$03
dc.b Tx0004E-Tx0004-1 ; dc.b $1A
Tx0004 eascii $10,"lo Stupefacente Uomo Ragno"
dc.b 0
Tx0004E dc.b $F4,$03
dc.b Tx0005E-Tx0005-1 ; dc.b $0E
Tx0005 eascii $10,"Lo psicopatico"

so, must we change the number matching the letter' count?

game uses sentence with a maximum length of 60 characters

2)so, must we change the number matching the letter' count?

you have not to change the number of letter after ';' it's a reference at the original length, the new length will be automatically calculated when I will compile the source code

warning!!!!
for the credit screen and options of the main screen, you must respect original length (like for VIDEOMANUAL) if not the compiled new text file don't work fine...

can you please edit the 3 files with dummy lines, like a sequence of *, showing the parts that are under this restriction?
i'm about 1/3 of the translation done but i've scrolled to the end to check that point; some sentences in the credit and manual, will be hard to adapt as they would require a longer letter count, in particular the ones formed by just one word. if Nyarlathotep and Iena are already about it, maybe we could fix a common way to translate the option screen.

Here the translation in english of the Spiderman episode 02 (done by Marco Pedrana)

It's works perfectly with the game after compilation

You can test yourself whdload's installed version (beta) in TheZone!

Can you translate the epidode 02 in German ?

Great news, Dlfrsilver is agree to translate episode 2 in French (thanks Denis)

there's a couple of typos i've slipped in and just noticed a "Dayly" instead of "Daily" and a "could" instead of "would" a couple of phrases after.
also it's more of an adaptation then a translation, to skip some repetitions in the original and to make the text more fluent.

Nyarlathotep and Iena, Do you have better ways to translate the manual, when it gets to the joystick controls? my solutions there are not much elegant.

Retro-Nerd At in PM already ask to me to translate Spiderman 02

You will can translate in german Spiderman 01 when Iena will be finished it.

The file is an asm source for barfly. You can modify it using a text editor on pc or amiga (in the first case, I will convert the bad symbols of the text editor)

You can change the text length, but try to respect it if you can if not there will be many bad text position.

Don't use german special caracter.
