For heaven's sake it's summer over here ... we drink beers, eat icecream and do BBQ or whatever you can do outside when you don't live in a country where sun doesn't shine 365 days a year. If those 12.000 disks would have come in now and not during winter they wouldn't have been dumped in a record time... they would sit here for another 3 months or so.

Exactly. Summer, sea sex and sun. you can hold down a bit the ADF, and go outside with girls, pals, mates, friends, and enjoy the summer !!

Not sure when are to see the next batch of cleaned up (hope it happens), but let me make a tiny contribution.
There are around 80 duplicates WITHIN the cleaned-up (way more if we check with non-cleaned-up). Plus an issue at 37, with Space Harrier, where there are two zips for the same file and in fact one of the zips, contains a zip of the zip of the file. BTW, in my cleanup I keep the "oldest" (smaller number) ADF. EDIT: NOTE the (few) filename discrepancies! (meaning needs to be checked which is correct). |

Well it was useful to fill part of latest TOSEC (just released) and more of those disks will go in the next version I presume.
I think if the cleaning had some VERY clear instructions (and specifications) people could follow (and all follow the same), then cleaning would be way faster and even distributed. For example some do the naming, others duplicate checking (there are many duplicates in the non-cleaned... even with totally different names!), others do virus check, others, do "live" testing etc. Anyway. |

At least i have not taken any single Disk from this so called cleaned collection for TOSEC inclusion, and speaking about my sections, everything important from BS1 collection was added!

I kinda disagree, just let the user decide what he wants. I prefer it cleaned for archival purposes.

Noticed a lot of the "cleaned" disks have errors on the individual download links.
They download only 3kb files! Please check. |

Thanks dlfsilver. I've seen game names I had never heard of before. I'm glad they didn't use natural selection like Amiga Soft did in New Zealand. When I used to buy my warez there wasn't a choice between the Fairlight, Prestige, Hoodlum crack.
