Going off on a tangent here, but following on from the disappearing "friends" comment:

Many, who were once impulsive and exciting in nature, become boring and set in their ways. The struggle I have at organising a trip or event is mind boggling - all they want to do is camp in their house, complain about material things, watch TV and work.

This is life however. 90%+ of people will conform into the society norm and never really do anything exciting. Happens every generation in some countries like clockwork, no matter how hard you try and get people to stay socially active.

We are all slaves! Slaves I tell you!

Still, many of us are VERY lucky slaves, living in some of the best conditions the world has to offer.
Most people end up doing what is expected from them like get married pump out kids and work long hours to pay for most of the expenses and borrow the rest so you have to work longer and harder to get into more debt. So less time to play around.

Another problem is that everything you did in your youth was social (football, school, video arcade, shopping, chess club, movies, concerts) while everything today can be done by the click of the button on a computer, you never have to leave the house to do anything. So the social interaction level has dropped quite a bit.

How much better is it than Cloanto or AIAB? People tell me its graet....and Blodwych is better than Captive any day!
Thanks Fred, guess we all chip in and balance this place out - the good, the bad and the ugly.

It's not all downhill. Just a moment ago we had 25+ members viewing the forum so it's still going strong. This has probably been the busiest post period after the silence of xmas and new year.

Flattery will get you everywhere, Bloodwych is indeed the creme de la creme of roleplay multiplayer experiences.

ClassicWB isn't as good as AIAB in terms of eye candy, but beats it in compatibility and (IMO) usability for the most common Amiga tasks. They are however conceived through the application two different approaches:

AIAB is designed to make max use of the power offered by WinUAE and high end Amiga 4000 beasts. It’s a showcase of just how good workbench can be on the best Amiga hardware.

ClassicWB is designed for real 68020 Amiga's without graphics cards - ie. bog standard A1200 and above. It also has some of the best, up-to-date and most useful Amiga software installed as standard but tries to remain as close to the original in terms of feeling. Hence “Classic”.

It’s all in the readme files anyway.

The beauty of WinUAE is that you can run both, leaving WHDgames, demos etc on a separate HDF allowing both workbenches to access them.

HAHAHAHAH! LOL!

Atari Girly is here! Love the avatar. Watch out though, rattus will get competitive. She doesn't like EAB girls moving in on her patch.

This thread should be moved. It's not off-topic, it's to do with the EAB old timers! Archive it mods.

Yes but the almighty Fred made a request. It had to be answered Atari girly.

Plus my ramblings definitely make this thread ontopic now. Let's move it.

I miss Twist. Anyone heard anything from him? Though he could be rather harsh and didn't agree with me on every matter in life (actually I don't think we agreed on anything ) I always liked him. He stood up for his ideals.

Fred, go fetch Twist will you? Good boi!

Yeh, we're glad to have you here 'kira. But where is your old companion Twist? Will he come back if I claim that I've officially married Bill Gates?
