MiraWizarc as already mentioned by Frog.
The best choice is a configured Dopus like Bamiga highlighted, as it uses shell directly and doesn't suffer the little bugs I've found in other GUI archivers (see here http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/bugs.htm ) |

bloodwych, give a try with AnArchiver + it's update, it's nice.... you will not find any bugs as long as you use the button to create an archive and not write its name/location manually... also x-arc seems really really nice...

Didn't work for me either after updating and not after a reboot either, bah Did you just install the X-Arc 1.3 and then unpack the update and overwrote the 1.3? and then after a reboot it worked? |

I was looking for X-Arc, the V1.4Beta2 (cracked) version but I am not able to find it in the ftp server... Am I very bad searching for files there or is it "gone"? Could someone, please, give me the link to that file or upload it into "The Zone!" Thanks! |

the zone in 2005 was not archived on eab ftp. this is a new feature, so old things are gone.
but i found the archive RP-XA142.LZX - it is in the zone the files from the archive i copied to: libs ---> libs: MUI --> sys:mui/libs/mui/ and replace old x-arc binary with new one. the update will work only, after you reboot once. |

one issue: after creating a new archive, just to test x-arc 1.4b2 - my windows firewall pop'ed up and alerted me, winuae want to phone to the internet at that very moment, when i clicked the "make archive" button. it doesnt show detailes of adress to be connected, but this cannot be an accident. no other apps (browser ftp) is running at the moment. maybe anyone want check that? edit: snoopdos reveals it does load a vapor_update.library. maybe thats the sucker - if i'm not wrong at all. i remember an issue with AmiIRC, which had a backdoor once. same company. IIRC text from vapor_update.library: Code:
Looking up FTP server.....Connecting to FTP server....Logging into FTP server.. solution: rename libs:vapor_update.library to libs:vapor_update.library-OFF ( for example). x-arc still working, without loading this lib. not sure what the other libs:vapor*.library do in secet Last edited by emufan; 20 June 2015 at 23:35. |
