You looking for games to play? I recommend Chaos Gate for a nice slice of turn based Warhammer 40k action.

EDIT: ah I see you are making game launchers, aye Chaos Gate is windows, but not XP.

I did Three of them for you...The others are windows games not Dos
Although possible they take ages and are pretty big...Shannara is actually 130meg....That's a big Dos game..

They are standalone exe's ...With Dosbox incorporated...If that makes sense

Yes. That answers it perfectly. Here's a few:

Broken Sword collection
Monkey Island collection
Blood (1&2)
Death Rally (old classic)

Is there a way to have it so the config of dosbox can be changed as some of these can be played via network.

I've a problem with Shannara, though: the savegames are nowhere to be found, from one run to the next. Where does the virtual machine places them?

I have a game for you to do, which I'd be very surprised(challenge) if you can get it at the same speed throughout. It's called Alien Legacy and every version i've played has been fine on the station but planet screen it's SO fast it's unplayable.

Oh check this out I found while looking for dos games, would be nice to use something similar in a launcher
