Here is a little activity for this round

We could take a screenshot without killing the queen !
It would be fair my opinion...

Well I'll leave that all up to you - if you all came to some sort of gentleman's agreement on that then that would be fine of course.

If I am the only one to send a score, I'd be alone on the podium

221,304 without kill the queen.

I don't think your idea for tackling leeching works Rex. If I post a screenshot of myself at the Queen, it doesn't show that I haven't been leeching for 20 minutes before I took the screenshot.

Taking a screenshot when the text 'Level 5-4 completed' appears however would.

I'm scratching my head as to where an extra 25k is in the game. That was, by far, my best run ever.

Does anyone know what the prize is for completing the subgame when you enter the rat's body? You get two 'ding' sounds but don't seem to have any extra lives, points or anything obvious.

Yes, it's just a question of honesty.
Your suggestion seems better, though.

The bonus level of rat offers 2 lives, it's a bonus for the 'milk' method.
3 lives + 1 (at 8000) + 2 = 6 lives (if you don't lose before the last world) used to improve the score.

@capehorn: This "milk"-method is purposely repeatedly dying at some point in the last level. Dunno where the best point is.

My version crashed before loading the boss of the 3rd world. Thus I restarted the game and purposely used all my lives up at the end of world 3.

Nah, I can't do the rat bonus level (I used using savestates and I made it one time out of twenty - I believe that disqualifies me from entering again anyway). Even if I got the lives, I can't work out where an extra 30k is in the game anyway.

Hmmm not the most lively round

Well done rexsu and john4p who will compete in the final - the other two shouldn't go away though as third place is still at stake...

Thanks Graham.
There is a french proverb that says "jamais deux sans trois" (good things come in threes ?)
It's my third final

The level bonus is horrible for the eyes, you need a vision of bat for not lose the sprite
You gain roughly +-20k with this 2 lives for the "milk" method so it's important for the final score.

Tough luck for capehorn who got the worst possible draw this round.

@rexsu: Had no time for another go. Btw., where's the best point to die for the milk-method?

5-1 is the best place because you have 9400-9600 points (I think !), the others it's 9000 points.
However we must kill all bosses with only one life and a lower weaponry, it's a risk !
In addition, the fish is the hardest boss for me, I never successfull to have 9400 points for my 5 lives, bad focus...
