Yes - there's nothing more frustrating than running out of shots just as things get a bit hairy but it does add an interesting tactical element, trying to work out the best time to use them.

This is also a pretty massive game so anyone who can complete it in one sitting is (a) some sort of gaming God and (b) has massive amounts of time on their hands

Played quite a lot yesterday, but mainly to see if I can 'optimise' the 'speedrun' levels (you know I like that ). Woke up pretty early and decided to have a real go... turned out quite well It's really an awfully long game Guess that's it for me this time, because I got very lucky with the random bonus items (quite a lot of 1000 bonuses appeared this time).

Good stuff - that gives people something to aim for.

That is, if anyone else decides to actually enter...

Still two weeks left though, hopefully it will liven up.

Thanks Graham
Seems like we hit the bottom of the summer 'hole' right now. Not many players around...
Btw : Make sure you watch the 'cutscenes' between the levels in Mean Arenas. They are pretty funny
Also take some time to play it. Even if the first stages are not very long, that changes after the first 'speedrun'. Not like Metal Slug which you can finish within a bit more than half an hour on a Saturday afternoon...

Just found out this game works very well under UAE4All on PSP.

If you have a PSP (with custom firmware), here is UAE4All: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1396

And here is a recommended update to it which, among other things, corrects aspect ratio (I suggest the 414x240-resolution mod for Mean Arenas): http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1405
