anyone have Zut Alors game please?

Hi, i'm looking for a coy of this game. I downloaded a LHA file from IFarchive but can't seem to work it. Please can anyone help? Thanks

Thanks for your reply - i visited the page but am unable to open the file from the coverdisk download. Does anyone know how i could access ths, please? I'm not too PC savvy! Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by 'open the file'.

.ADZ files are GZipped .ADF files.

Rename the file from filename.adz to filename.adf.gz and extract the .adf file using WinRAR.

Then use WinUAE to extract files from the .ADF image.

WinUAE can mount .ADZ files directly, but I'm not sure if you still need the GZip executable program in the same directory.

You don't.
The game is in the 'Game of the month' folder on the disk.

I'm sorry - i don't know a huge amount about computers. i renamed the file so it now says zutalors.adz.gz.lha but still nthing happens when i click on it. i'm using windows vista. thanks for your help.

Okay, let's start from scratch then

You need WinUAE an Amiga emulator to run the game. You'll also need something called kickstarts (or at least one kickstart) for it. Have a look here : http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=eab..._ks_wb_faqitem
Once you have that, just put the disk image Anakirob linked to in the first 'virtual' floppy drive and run it with an A500 quickstart.

Thank you for your help. I don't think i'm doing very well as i don't understand what a kick start is... Perhaps could contact the original author and they could help? Is it possible to play on a pc? Thanks for your help and patience - i really wanted to play this game again!

NEVER rename an .adz to a .lha!
An .adz normally contains ONE adf (since '.adz' is short for '.adf.gz', but a lha can contain hundreds of files!
Plus, the compression algorithm of the one has nothing to do with the other's one.

Leave it as zutalors.ADZ and don't fiddle with the file name. It's fine that way

Er... have you read the whole thread?

It's an LHA archive, just prowler mentioned that he should rename the ADZ from AMR, instead he renamed the LHA... Yes, it's a big mess

Thank you CyberDruid. I really appreciate your help. I stumbled across this forum but am not at all techie and am a bit scared of downloading .exe files and other things. I just remember loving this game and would love to see it again.

Oh and I'm a she by the way!
