C= 1942 capacitor list

hello,
maybe it can help, here is the list and quantity for all aluminium capacitors for 1942. suitable for 120/230V models.
  • 0,47µf 50V = 3
  • 1µf 50V = 7
  • 1µf 160V = 1
  • 2,2µf 50V = 5
  • 2,2µf 100V = 2
  • 2,2µf 160V = 1
  • 4,7µf 50V = 1
  • 4,7µf 100V = 3
  • 10µf 50V = 5
  • 10µf 100V = 2
  • 10µf 250V = 2
  • 22µf 16V bi-polarized = 1
  • 33µf 16V = 1
  • 33µf 160V = 1
  • 47µf 35V = 13 + 1 bi-polarized
  • 47µf 200V = 2
  • 100µf 35V = 10
  • 100µf 100V = 1
  • 100µf 200V = 1
  • 220µf 16V = 1
  • 220µf 400V (for 230V model)
  • 220µf 200V (for 120V model)
  • 470µf 35V = 5
  • 1000µf 16V = 1
  • 1000µf 25V = 1
that's all

Very nice... I have dismantled mine and was seriously looking after doing some high maintenance on it.
It needs a new Flyback transformer to begin with, which is nearly impossible to find...
But capacitors come next so thank you!
Which quality you suggest to buy and where for them? Can we find polymer ones with these voltage and capacities?

you can probably put some polymer ones. but only very few, as they usually are low voltage and maybe problematic with the leg gap. so be careful of that.
so, better take regular aluminium from known good manufacturer as panasonic, nichicon, rubycon, vishay. 1000+ hours at 105° is a good point.
i buy them on farnell.

sad to learn FBT can die on those ones too... it die "itself" or something as failed and killed it ?

hmm it seems i exagerated a bit about polymer caps.
you can replace a lot with them, low capacities + high voltage is possible, high capacities + low voltage too.

more choice than i remember
