Red Heat - Level 3 / Bug or Normal?

I have been messing with Red Heat for quite some time now, and realized that level 3 does not have health pickups throughout the level which makes it impossible to pass without losing some or if not all of your lives. Every other level 1,2 and 4 include health pickups which make it at least tolerable.

Question is.. Is there a bug in the game which causes health pickups not to show, or is this game developed with no health pickups on level 3?

3 health pickups on level 3? Is that correct?
