The output of the PAL filter is wrong, its five pixels/texels/units to the left, even when I try to center it both with WinUAE and by the overscan preferences editor. I need to add 5 units to the right with the filter panel to see the image entire on the screen. This is a small problem I have seen since the first versions of WinUAE with this filter.

Do you mean only PAL filter has this problem? (for example null filter is fine)

It looks like this filter has shift due to way it works, I'll add some tweaks to fix this.

Thanks Toni, this filter adds another dimension to WinUAE.

I have tested Beta 10, now there is a tiny black space at the right of the window (nearly five increments). My window size is 640x512 (it would fit nicely on the Amiga output)
When I enlarge the window or put WinUAE into fullscreen, the filter consumes very much processor time. Its a bug or it needs a faster processor? Intel Dual Core E5200 3 GB DDR2 RAM Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 ATI Radeon HD4550 2 GB RAM Last edited by Leandro Jardim; 09 January 2012 at 20:31. |

In my computer the CPU meter is at around 80% in Workbench but the FPS meter is at 30 FPS. It only gets worse with the deinterlacer, and at the boot, where the CPU meter goes from 170 to 330. The speed is not so bad, but the difference in the meters did make me think there was something wrong with it. Last edited by Leandro Jardim; 12 January 2012 at 20:23. |

Hi, Toni, you did modifications to enhance the PAL filter in 2.4.0 (other than the centering problem)? I ask this, because the PAL filter of previous WinUAE versions (2.3.3) are very fast, really.
And some time ago you did already said for me about the slowness of the PAL filter, in a time my computer was suffering from the same problem, but hopefully it worked right again later. In particular I thought that the filter in 2.3.1 had a visible difference in the quality for better, but now I am unsure... I dont want you to bother with pixel shaders, but if you had done some tweaks recently to the code, maybe its just an incompatibility problem that arrived from the updates again.
