Shuffling the drive lines worked

After removing the floppy drive to use an internal power supply in my A1200 I wanted the external drive to show as DF0: - so I detached a few of the resistors leading to the drive external connector and then made DF0: (pin 10 on the internal connector) connect to where DF1: used to go to the external. Then DF1: to DF2:, DF2: to DF3: etc. and DF3: unconnected. Works great! External drive is now a DF0: for the times I need a floppy. Will have to document this whole computer pretty soon...
