Before I download, let me ask everyone who uses it - what key calls emulation GUI?
If is F9, makes me wonder why - why not F12 or F11 - keys not used in any game/program as amiga did not have them.. |

From the site:
"Change config key: F9 = return to the menu" Does that make sense to you? |

Great!
From the video: It takes 30 seconds to boot directly into AmigaOS 3.9 with this config: Raspberry Pi 2B emulating: Amiga 1200 68040 + FPU (JIT enabled) AGA chipset 8 MB Chipram 64 MB Fastmem 16 MB RTG Of course, this can easily be changed. I wonder how well it performs on the Raspberry pi 3 and Zero. And does bsdsocket.library support work? (Is it possible to have the Amiga connect to the internet?). Is it possible to change the bootlogo (Happiga in blue) for one I already have? How? It would be also interesting to see how it performs with normal Amiga applications & workbench. BTW, what does it report on SysInfo mips tests? Really great work. |

Sure, they might have plants to salvage RPi2/3 into an amiga case, but in that case, make additional button to enable emulation GUI key and/or key combination. Still beats Ctrl used by emulator's default. |

There was no "hate preeching" - he previously took RetroPie, made some changes, called it happigamecenter, but wouldn't release sources etc. He also at one point required a payment before you could download it (at that point we had a non commercial licence, although we gave up in the end trying to enforce it, and went GPL - just covers our setup code etc of course).
You can understand this may have made him somewhat unpopular on the RetroPie forum. |

Here, in the first attachment, they fixed the keyboard (it was the french AZERTY) to english QWERTY and changed keys F11 for mouse/joy switching and F12 for menu.

well buzz I still think its why they have taken the English out of it ,if only the world could get on ,happygamecentre is much better than retropie without a doubt.

Is there an english tutorial on getting this to run, and what to do?
I see it starts off french, and finally found out how to change it to english from the happiga main menu. I launched Amiga emulator without doing anything else and get a black screen? DO i need to do more work like kickstarts adfs, hdfs? etc etc before i launch the emulator? |

Like to see possibly on youtube a tutorial on installation and launching the emulator. Configuring it. Etc etc.
All I see on youtube is demos of games running happiga. Not the behind the scenes in setting up everything. Does Banshee AGA work slow on uae4arm on raspberry pie 2? It seems much slower then rubbing 2 it on pc? |

Well ,
at first you mut see Happiga in the pc side (by wifi or ethernet) , then just put your kickstarts , adf , hdf etc in the right folders. Restart Happiga , it should detect you have a kickstart , then hit F9 to go to uae menu and make your config , save it and restart. That should be ok. |
