Amiga Retro Event - Playnation Games celebrates the Amiga (29th September)

Quote:
Amiga owners and retrogamers alike, have we got the event for you! As PlayNation Games will be celebrating the Amiga in their own special way, by hosting the Amiga Retro Event, held at Playnation Games on the 29th September from 6pm till 11pm. Organised by Sega, Atari, Commodore, Nintendo RetroGaming Cafe, this event could be just what the retro doctor ordered as not only can you play on original Amiga hardware, but you can discuss, buy, sell and even trade games!

This sounds cool but the "organized by Sega, etc" part left me puzzled: are they really participating or is this a mistake/pun of some kind?

Cool, very nice to see an Amiga event not far from me (Surbiton). I will see if I can make arrangements to come. I have mailed the organisers to see if they would be interested in me bringing my Vampired A600

This event is actually held in Australia? I'm in. Oh wait... wrong Croydon. Son of a bitch!

"Organised by Sega, Atari, Commodore, Nintendo RetroGaming Cafe"

Since when did Commodore rise from the ashes?

I'm excited about this and frankly you must bring your vampire! I have A600 in the loft but could be tempted to get it out...

Also would be a fun place to 'launch' my game - therefore I can set a target date to finish it!

Made it along yesterday and had an interesting time. Nice to meet like minded folk and see Goteks in action. There was definitely something up with the power - one power supply went pop and another gently wisped smoke!

It was also a shame that after a herculean effort to get workbench up on the only machine with a disk drive that my disk was not recognised. Checked when I got home and works fine so guess it must be something to disk drive alignment?

Thanks to all the guys for hosting and organising and already looking forward to the next one!
