The Final Gate CD32
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has this CD32 game My orginal CD has a crack in it and is nolonger readable (I have only managed to salvage the startup-sequence file) I have also found another version of it that had a corrupt startup-sequence which I replaced with my original one but it I still can`t get it running, it keeps saying that the CD is write protected and it wants to write to it for some strange reason Any info would be great |

I have an image of that from an original disc ~70MB (Along with 30GB of other images ). I'll up it for you...
I had that corrupted version too before I got this version - I got some of it running with some messing around, but the GFX are all corrupt too so I deleted it. EDIT: Upload in progress... |

My Cody, you've certainly been busy
You're all more than welcome. Although some thanks should go to my Slovenian contact for supplying me with the image from his original... |

Hi,
I`ve only just read this updated thread, is there any chance I could get a working version of this game? I`ve seen the screen shots on HOL, brings back a lot of memories, although I never could complete the game (found it quite difficult) The curropted version that was given to me starts to load, and starts that countdown thing, but just goes to a blank grey screen, nothing else :-( And my CD version (which is damaged) no longer boots either, I bought the CD version from Epic Marketing many years ago, it wasn`t boxed, just the CD in a slip case. The CD has a picture of an inflatable raft on river rapids, so unsure if it the offical CD or a copy, but it did cost £15 at the time If I could get a working version, that would be great |

Finally got round to playing this tonight, and I can't help but chuckle at it!
Only problem......... I can't seem to shoot the guy on the bridge no matter how hard I try, and he takes a shitload of health off me (now I don't get why your health and ammo share the same meter!). I notice that he's surrounded by a gold target rather than a white one, so I'm led to suspect that I need to use better weaponry. I collected these gold thingies along the way, so maybe they're missiles or something. But it seems no button apart from Red/Fire has any effect. I *know* I'm missing something here because those HOL screenshots suggest someone has managed to beat the game before. So what am I doing wrong? |
