Here I am with AIMP 3 (the most Amiga-ish player out there..) and the url you provided work just fine, you can easily add it into the 'Internet Radio Browser' plugin but.. I would like original sounds with 4 separeted stereo channels, possibly only game or demoscene music (not mixed togheter)
Thank you for the job!

Works fine with good old XMMS 1.2.11 on Linux. The bitrate is a little low (only 56kbs sounds a bit tinny). I used this URL: http://juniorwebdevsnet2.zapto.org:8000/VirtualDJ.mp3. Do you plan to stream in higher quality too?

Oh dear... XMMS 1.2.11 is my preferred music player on Linux, because it's small and simple, but - to be honest - the 1.x series of XMMS is totally outdated. It isn't supported nor distributed any more. In fact, I had to compile the program and most of the dependencies myself to get it running. Scarcely anybody uses it nowadays.
However, it might be a good way to check the functionality of different media types. But to be sure I tested your radio stream with a more up-to-date player like Amarok and - as I expected - everything works well here too.

What do you mean?

Listening to R-Type music right now...

(I took a picture, but the camera wouldn't focus on the screen.)

Basically, imagine an Amiga 1200 with WB 3.1 and AmigaAMP running and playing Amiga Hits Radio.

:-)

Streaming on my ACA1230/28 with MAS Player Evolved..

desiv
(I did create a tiny .pls file for it, and loaded that)

---

OK, this is the "best" of the pics I took.. ;-(

Jejejejeje. That's what I wanted being so rude... I know someone would make it. How do you do that, please? A video would be great.

Edit: That's great, OS3.1, ACA 1230/28... The mas player is really a great improvement to make it run.
I'll tell you something extrange: I've got the mas player in the envelope and I hadn't even tried it. I'm waiting for the Indivision and I plan to install all at the same time, don't know why. Even more, will wait for kipper's cable to install it all.

:-)

I haven't done any vids yet.. Someday (I keep saying..)

But it's pretty easy..
(Remember to go OnLine, and not with EasyNET or AmiTCP. You need a newer TCPIP stack. I use MiamiDX now)

First, you have to have the MHI MAS Pro driver:
http://aminet.net/package/driver/audio/mhi_MASPro

Then you have to have AmigaAmp:
I downloaded version 2.25:
http://www.amigaamp.de/download.html

Then you need a playlist file..
Now, AmigaAmp doesn't have .pls as a default recognized extension. You can add that in the AmigaAMP config (and restart AmigaAMP) or just name your playlist .mp3.

So you open a text editor and add:

[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=http://juniorwebdevsnet2.zapto.org:8000/VirtualDJ.mp3
Title1=Amiga Hits Radio
Length1=-1
Version=2

Then save it as AHR.MP3 (or AHR.PLS if you've set AmigaAMP to recognize PLS)

The load that in AmigaAMP as tho it were an MP3 and it plays..

Simple as that.. :-)

Mine was open within about 3 minutes of getting it, and installed within 20!

Don't wait!!!
There's no need!! Go on! Open it! You know you want to!!
Amiga Hits Radio is calling you!!!

Thanks. I read your explanation in the mas player thread, but wasn't as good as this.

The thing is that I have no room in my table either with the other Amiga waiting to be closed... but perhaps in a day or two I will

In AmigaAMP:
Click on ADD > URL Type this only into it: http://juniorwebdevsnet2.zapto.org:8000 (don't put the mp3 part in the url) and click ok and thats it..Done..
I tested it on my WinUAE Amiga and it works..
Remember to save it,if you don't you will have to put the url in again(Click on list > Save )

I have put this on the main page of AHR Now.

Thanks goes to desiv for testing it and Retrofan for being such a fan...

I didn't see URL as an option in the version of AmigaAMP I'm running.
Only ADD FILE.

Maybe I missed it.

Either way, seems to work pretty good, thanx!
