Noobs :P

Well, then I am stumped. If you cut pin 1 you shouldn't have the bootup problem anymore on RESET after it powered up (cutting pin 1 prevents your hard drive from turning itself off and on on every Amiga soft reset, I did this when I had a hard drive).

There must be some sort of compatibility issue with the hard drive :/

Indeed, I had loads of drives that cutting pin one didnt solve any problems.

@heALer

I know you tried another CF card but did you try another CF adapter?

All the best.

Steve.

Im sure there was something about this in the ACA thread.
Thought you had to use p in the ACATUNE command or something like that.

Do you get the problem when using ACATune? or are you not using ACATune?

You would need to check the ACA1230 thread. BETA 5 of ACATune added the funcion.

Remember we are not the manufacturer of the cards, we will try and help were we can though, we already supply a floppy and timing info sheet with every card. We also test ever ACA1230 before shipping.

I would do a support page but I have been too busy of late.
Ill see if I can gather all the info later once I get home, and see if I can knock something together.
Cant promise anything though, as Im doing alot of this stuff in my own time.

This is the post you are talking about.
I have the same problems with my ACA1230/56. Sometimes using CWB39 I get an error of that it can't execute Setpatch, I do a warm reboot and it boots ok. Other times I've found the insert disk screen with other Cf HD. In another Cf I lost the data in the S-S and it was saying it contained binary, so I had to copy it again. Definetely this accelerators don't like to be changing Hd's as I use to do.

I've tried with those commands of Oliver in the s-s, but they didn't work for me. Perhaps they were intended for an old beta. AFAIK the latest beta, using the -p should work.
With the latest beta (post 1), try to get to the s-s and introduce ACATUNE -maprom * p -cache on -burst on >NIL: , make a cold boot, leave it for a time and boot again. If it works you can complete the ACATune line.
