Hi,

Could you try disabling Data Execution Prevention for Last-Out ?

This works for Window 7 32bit. Nice remake, any chance for a proper CRT filter?

edit: There is a crackling sound on my system with the remixed mp3 music. Tried some different buffer values, no luck so far.

Yeah, me too - 2.5GHz AMD A8, 8GB RAM with ATI R7 2GB graphics - and the mp3s crackle really badly. The modules work fine though, which is OK as they're far better than the rather poor mp3 versions which somehow seem to totally miss the point of the mods.

Thanks.

Sorry, but I want to complete the remake first, and a crt filter would give me too much extra work.

I am aware of the crackling sound on my Windows 10 64 bits, but it wasn't present when I tested the game on Windows 7 four years ago.

I will try to update sxms.dll and see if it fixes the problem...

Thanks for the feedback.

I am sorry you don't apreciate Sunspire remixes. To me, they are more than fine.

This was a problem with Gamemaker for years. I think it has been fixed with Gamemaker Studio, but I don't know if Aligarion is using it.

But I do know the game is indeed made on Gamemaker

You can hear the MP3 crackling sound on Windows 7 too. It's no Window 10 problem as described in the readme. Still there in v0.6.0.

Hi,

This issue wasn't there five years ago when I used Windows 7 64 bits with the same computer.

But I think Retro-nerd is right, it is not a Windows 10 issue, maybe a driver issue or a direct play issue...

By the way, my games are developped with Game Maker 8.1 but I can't upgrade to GM Studio, too many compatibility issues...

Hi,

Could someone try these two solutions ?

http://www.komku.org/2013/06/how-to-...d-problem.html

It seems it it could be a driver issue.

Ha, "Disable all enhancement" in the speakers options seems to fix it. I only had "Loudness Equalization" enabled because the Windows mixer is stupid and plays multi-channel music with low volume. Without: no more crackling music in Last-Out.

Hi, I tried the "Disable all enhancement" thing this weekend but it didn't change a thing to me.

Next time, I am going to check the DPC latency checker again... Tried it a bit, but it didin't convince me at all.

By the way, I have worked on level 6 this weekend and already ripped static sprites, animated gifs and nearly all the tiles set.

Hi,

Last-Out is not dead, one more boss (mid level 6) to do, the scrolling text of the extro and some extra things to polish.

I know that the wait as been longer than expected, but life is unpredictable.

OH MY GOD.

I was cleaning up some old back-ups from my HD few months ago and I found a very early build of this.

And I noticed 3 years ago I commented on this thread how I remember downloading it years ago
