Yep, I am. Doesn't make it a valid argument for hate.

actually mariokart deluxe is a tad different i know cause i had to buy both
and has more tracks
also 1 runs at 720p other is 1080p
and you shouldnt compare ps4 to switch as ps4 isnt a mobile device
like comparing your phone to your desktop pc

Not sure where to go for those now either.
Isozone is Retro Zone now.

Well, the switch version of Sonic appears to be pretty much identical to the PC version so there's that. And of course I can play it on the bus or train... Can't do that with a PS4. Nor with a Wii-U for that matter.

Besides, Nintendo hardware has always been underpowered compared to the generation they align with - but the games are still great, which is all that matters. Seems a bit silly to be moaning that it's not as powerful as a PS4 when it was never going to be.

are you sure about that
better check again only "underpower" was wii/wiiu
im not adding switch as its really not a console in the sense more in the handheld department which it is the most powerful

Agree. Nintendo is well know for that. All of their consoles' hardware are from previous generation hardware. Of course price is from actual generation .

Also agree. Other console manufacturers searches for the best gfx/snd. Original Nintendo's games are made with player's fun in mind. This approach makes me like Nintendo.

no they arent nes was more powerful than anything when it came out
snes with its upgrade route was way more power than a megadrive
the N64 beat everything in power and the gamecube and xbox are basically a tie only 2 systems that were under power when released was wii/wiiu
nintendo stopped playing the cat n mouse power game after gamecube

just fyi even the virtualboy was the most powerful handheld/portable whatever in the 90's using 32bit CPU same used in PC-FX

Okay, so previous generations to the Wii were not terribly underpowered - but that just underlines my point that even though it was seriously underpowered compared to the competition, the Wii still sold an absolute shedload of consoles and had some of the best games of that generation available for it.

Mind you, I'm not the one who's got his panties in a knot because the Switch can't compete with a PS4...

yeah i dont care about that nonsense today as buying a ps4 etc is just dumb considering you can make a better gaming pc for less
it was 1 thing when everyone was making different hardware and fun
now its boring since they all use the same thing today its just about the game releases that are tied to the company
the exclusives

like i rather build a pc that can play damn near everything and emulate all consoles besides current gen then buy a xbox/ps4
we have ps3/xbox360/wii/wiiu/switch emulators today

This is getting a bit too off-topic. I could, more or less, understand the posts about Nintendo since they are behind all this. But now...

Feel free to begin a PS4 vs PC or whatever thread in the off-topic section. I'll be happy to move some posts there if needed.

Err yes it is new, I bought mine for that price and then sold some of the games that came with it for £45 so really it only cost me £180. If you don't need to buy brand new then the same applies for the PS4.... what can you get a used one for about £150 on ebay? It simply can't be done buying like for like brand new parts. The PC is clearly better value once you have paid for it but consoles are cheaper.

No mention was made about the games but yes my mistake, I forgot publishers of PC games give all of theirs away for free.

So on topic and my thoughts on ROMS.

Nintendo have obviously started all this as they are now releasing a handful of games on the switch but is that enough for the retro gaming scene?

I talked about this in my last youtube video and I still think the solution to the whole thing is for Nintendo or Sega or Capcom or whoever to follow the example of the music industry and release the roms and sell the roms in the same manner as the music companies did with MP3s. Those started life mainly as a means to copy music, remember napster, so call killing the music industry. iTunes is essentially a modern Napster.

If the game companies released the games like that and allowed us to play them on our emulators or our consoles with flash carts or even their own mini consoles I honestly think the most of the retro community would get behind them.

those music companies etc also arent selling you the equipment to play them on
nintendo is a toy maker they need a reason for you to buy the toy
if they start selling roms that way then you have no reason to buy there toys
