Does an A600 PSU work on an Amiga 500?
Seems like a simple question, but it's hard to find the answer.
Since I only have 1 PSU atm, and my A500 PSU is gone (probably sold with my A1200 a few years ago). |

It should work but if it lasts or not depends on its ratings, there are many models of A600 PSUs. Post here the info you can find on the bottom of the PSU and you will be informed more precisely.

The A500/A600/A1200 PSUs are interchangeable, as long as the setup you are running is standard.
You may run into capacity issues if you run a lot of peripherals, in which case it is best to get a proper high-power PSU (commonly a converted AT/ATX supply). |

I won't use for long periods, just for checking if my A500 is still working with no other hardware attached, and to verify if it gives
the same shifted image as my A600 does. This A600 power supply is physical heavier than the normal A1200 power supply. It has part nr: 391029-02. |
