If you're an offended rights holder, you can issue a DMCA takedown notice and call your lawyer. Jim Drew did and got PCTask and Fusion removed from the distribution.

I understand now that Coffin is a legal distribution, so I will hence spread it through more convenient methods than a torrent.

In my case I have an Amiga 500 and an Amiga 4000 (w/PPC). I have original AmigaOS 3.9 and AmigaOS 4.1 CDs. I used to run 3.9 on my A4000 but now I have 4.1. I would like to run 3.9 on my A500 instead when I get a Vampire but rather than trying to jerry-rig some CD-ROM setup onto the A500 to do the install it would be really nice to just have it premade on a flash card. Doing this would be illegal but since I paid for a copy of 3.9 that I am not using on my A4000 anymore I would not feel guilty at all doing it.

Wait, I respect the hell out of Jim since he's created some amazing stuff (albeit stuff that was frequently used for piracy back in the day), but what does he have to do with PCTask?

Your allegation is not pardoned. Good luck in finding any support for your claim I was "ok with software piracy". I suppose you haven't had a thread closed in some time and now feel urged to troll this one?

I forgot the name of Jim's MS-DOS emulator and used the wrong one. Oops.

OK I was confused. xD I used to talk to the author of PCTask Chris a lot back in the day and it definitely wasn't Jim. IIRC he made PCTask free for noncommercial distribution.

I also sort of remember a joke where he was confused repeatedly with some other author but I don't remember who it was (not Jim Drew) but I recall it annoyed him a lot. Maybe Jonathan Potter. (Chris made DirWork, Jon made Directory Opus, both were from Australia.)
