Problems with flickering while loading games.

I have slow loading speed and screen flickering while loading certain games like UFO - Enemy Unknown and Realms of Arkania on my A1200.

It appears when loading new parts when in-game.

Do any here have a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance

Volt.

Sounds like you have no Pre-load with these games.
How much free fastram do you have before launching the game?

No, this isn't a kickstart problem. Accidently there is sometimes a double entry for the "preload" tooltype in the game icon. Worth a check.

There was only one PRELOAD entry in tooltypes.

I have the same problem in WinUAE. PRELOAD tooltype is not duplicated. Would also like to know if it's a problem with specific slaves (this game is not the only one showing those 'blackouts') or some setting that can be changed.

I just fixed my problem. I deleted the PRELOAD entry and saved then wrote in the PRELOAD entry again and all was working like a charm

Thanks for the help though

PRELOAD is surely an awesome feature. I guess my tooltypes were messed up because I copied from windows but not totally sure.
