Supercars 2 - laggy controls?

I just played Supercars 2 again, been years since I played that game. It was one of my favorite Amiga racers, no idea why I haven't played it in so long

Anyway - I found the controls to be a little laggy.. like when I press the key to turn left, it feels like there is a little delay before the car actually starts turning

Was it always like that or is this some emulation bug or something? It's really annoying me

Just you laffer, works exactly how I remember it here

No seriously, can you give us more information like real / emulated, settings (if emulated), cracked version, joystick type etc...

AFAIR there was always a little delay. In fact you must anticipate and play with it which was for me a part of the fun.

But a real car starts turning the moment you turn the wheel

I'm using the IPF version in the most recent version of winUAE. It runs 100% smoothly, it's just that control issue that bugs me. Supercars International for the PC is not like that.

Yep, that's true. But Batman Begins is outstandig, one of the best comic book based movies ever.

And for the laggy controls in SC2: I can't confirm this, work flawless here.

Try playing one of the Pinballs - like Pinball Fantasy... on my machine (with whatever settings) I can't get rid of the lag. It takes too much time before the keypress is passed on to the game... almost unplayable for me.

Haven't tried it on newest WinUAE yet.
But I remember for sure, super cars 2 had some "lag" on original amiga. E.g. you would press left and it took just that extra millisecond for the car to start turning. to test, just press left super quick on real miggy, and car won't turn at all. Hmm, so I guess it is not real lag, but some kind of "inertia" or threshold type thingie they put into the game on purpose.

That was definitely part of its fun though!

Anyways, always make sure you try to control with keyboard to test for lag - some crappy usb controllers or adapters DO have extra lag with WinXP on some computers!

I do play with the keyboard, my joystick broke
Anyway, I guess it's supposed to be like that then.. I guess I'll just have to get used to it again, I guess I was back in the days as I didn't even notice it then.
