I really don't see the problem here
Everyone is free to not download ADA because of no updates I already know that someone taken this decision People are free to do that, obviously If someone want an archive with updates, he can download TOSEC stuff, for example I already told this, ADA will not be released with updates, i simply don't like this kind of solution I am sorry i can't help much more on this Using other words, ADA is my own collection and i am free to do it as i want |

Cheers, but I am not sure I can download it. I have less than 50 posts so am anonymous on the ftp so it takes me days to download. I finally completed it today but it's corrupt and won't unzip. The file size matches what's on the server, I think the corruption might be because updates can happen to that one large file while it's being downloaded, and when the ftp client tries to resume you end up with a broken zip file. I think I just have to make 50 posts to get proper access. |

Hi again mrprawns
The file is not corrupt, i personally test it each time i make the upload As you already pointed out, you must have 50 posts to get an upload account With that you can download the collection at the maximum speed Hope this can help |

That won't make a notable difference by the end of the year when quite a few new updates have been done by chip

mai / jarre; you've said it enough times now...
Whilst I agree that updates are always the best way i.e. saves bandwidth / people's time / easy to track changes etc. ...chip isn't going to do this; maybe he doesn't know how or finds it too difficult for some reason, I don't know. At the end of the day it's his project and he can distribute it how he likes. You as the end user can then either decide if you will / will not download, due to his decisions. Yep, the archive which become bigger each day is something that gives me satisfaction
Anyway, more than the final result, it's funny to see the various files which i use to build ADA In other words, just insert a disk into WinUAE and see what happens ! |
